Trip Description
This tour is a bonus for all Game of Thrones fans visiting Dubrovnik. It not only includes visits to the major filming locations in the old town but also a trip to Lokrum Island, home to an official Iron Throne and main filming location for the city Qarth in season 2.
The tour starts with a short introduction and then proceeds to visit the location which represented Blackwater Bay in the show. At every filming location your tour guide will show you pictures of the scenes and from behind the scenes to make it easier for you remembering what happened in the show. Next location is Lovrijenac Fortress, which was a spot for several Kings Landing locations, including the inside of the Red Keep. The fort also offers stunning views over the Adriatic and the old town of Dubrovnik, where the tour heads next.
The old town was filming locations for the Kings Landing riots in season 2, but more importantly the place of Cersei’s infamous Walk of Shame. You’ll have the chance to put yourself in the same spot where she was awaiting the start of her punishment.
For the last part of the tour tou take the ferry to Lokrum Island. The island was setting for the city Qarth in season 2 and here you can follow in the footsteps of Daenerys and her little dragons. The tour ends with an opportunity to take a picture with an official Iron Throne.
Afterwards you can explore Lokrum with its many places to swim, to hike or to eat and drink. No matter what, this island is definitely worth a visit and „Game of Thrones“ happens to be the icing on the cake!
